save luella!

i'm so depressed about what's happening to luella. :/ i love miss bartley, i can't believe her backers are pulling... and this is going to make me seem very uninformed, but can anyone explain to me if they're closing forever or just this ss '09 season?? i've heard rumors she's getting new backers soon... either way, i wish it wasn't happening.

on a lighter note, i finally installed something that counts the number of visitors to my blog, and i have about an average of 30 readers a day. i think that's crazy. (i know 30 won't seem like a lot to some bloggers, but when i think of 30 people reading this, it scares me a little bit...) so if i have any lurkers shy readers that look but don't comment, feel free to write away! i don't bite, promise. <3

...and outfit posts to come, promise!

le jeudi

i decided to do my own t.i.l.t. this week, so here we go...

this week, i love are wearing stacks of bracelets on each arm, learning french, guys who do sweet things for you (apology brownies anyone?), rose print everything, mylifeisaverage.com, getting my passport renewed (!), wearing running spandex around the house since they're even warmer and comfier than leggings (if that's possible), the song "somebody told me" by the killers, to write love on her arms day, having cool criss-cross shoelaces (thanks to my friend with crazy skillz), lady gaga's amazing music videos, finally discovering who tim walker is (but he deserves his own post), going to the local playground for a photoshoot with my bestie and getting strange looks from the parents of toddlers, paper plate awards, super-delicious pizza, and having curly hair again.

altogether, it's been a good week. :) what's been making you all happy?

why kids are so damn cute

“love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.” - noelle, age 7

“love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.” - karl, age 5

“i know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.” - lauren, age 4

“when my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. so my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. that’s love.” - rebecca, age 8

when you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.” - karen, age 7

“you really shouldn’t say ‘i love you’ unless you mean it. but if you mean it, you should say it a lot. people forget.” - jessica, age 8

maybe peter pan had the right idea...

roaring 20's

happy halloween!! i know i'm way late, i've been a bit sick so no posting for me... :( i still dressed up anyway. priorities, you know! i was a flapper...

dress: h&m, pearls: dress-up box, shoes: thirfted, unfortunately, i seem to have lost my boa... :(
oh. my. god. ok, so i finally get around to putting my costume back on, only to find i've lost my boa. and my camera. so my iphone pics aren't that great, and you can barely see my costume. bleh. i'm sorry, guys. once i find everything, i promise i'll take better pictures...

i never understood why people stopped dressing up after they stopped going trick-or-treating... i would never give up the excuse to dress up as someone else.

but since i was sick, i stayed on the couch watching scary movies and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. i have come to the conclusion that i think the corpse bride is one of the most beautiful movies i've ever seen... tim burton is a genius.

i love emily... and her name is just fabulous. ;)

so, what did you all dress up as? anything exciting happen while i stayed in?
